good write up tony... that will help me install mine since all i ever read was disassmebling the sterring rack, so it just takes some maneuvering but all-in-all the fsb install wasnt hard? im thinkin about waiting till i get my ksports shipped (2 weeks) and then install coilovers, ltb, fsb, superpro TA bushings...

does any1 know if on the 00 SE w/o PP if I have a stock fsb? if not, do I need to buy the stuff tony bought (endlinks, bolts, brackets, ES bushings, etc.?) thanx
the TA bushings without a press are gonna be the biggest PITA. Everything else should take normal times.

well imma have rob or will from sr20forum do all my installs i have gathered sitting in my garage. ill talk to greg about getting those es bushings then.

although, since u know the b15 better, and u have tools (evidently) id pay u to do it at ur crib sometime, if u want some extra $$$. so yeah if u wanna do the suspension (including the coilovers OR before i get coilovers) then be my guest, ill pay u

according to cburwell i have a stock fsb... but the car is 6+ years old so im thinkin maybe replacing the bushings is a good idea. i dunno.
I am probably going to get the ES bushings as well. Not because the the stock ones are in bad condition (they're not), but because they are an extra $10 on top of the cost of the bar.

Without a press??? Hole saw, hand torch, done. Seriously, what did you use a press for?

but it still doesnt change the fact that you have to disconnect a bunch of crap and drop the entire rear beam so its a pITA compared to say installing struts.

So can any answer the question, is the nismo FSB really worth the investment over the stock FSB?

Honestly, if you can handle installing struts and changing brakes, you can handle this. It is a few extra steps, and two tabs to knock off, but really not all that complicated or technical.

so... is the nismo sticker supposed to be facing up or down? :p
stupid question, yes i know.. but im having issues with my fsb at the moment.

Ask the guy that you bought it from??? The sticker came with it, he had to stick it on. The sticker isn't what you should worry about, worry about the fitment of the bar and the angle of the ends of the arms.

^Beautiful.

no doubt, before coming to this forum. I didn't even think to do anything with my 1.8.. and i've already had it 2 years!

after seeing what you guys are doing with your 1.8's.. im giddy with excitement on my new project :D .. Kudos.

Forgive me for bumping this old thread, but it has some great info.

Can someone explain for me however if its really going to be this difficult/ an alternative in installing the Nismo Front Sway Bar on a 1.8 GXE?
I currently only have the Nismo FSB and the bushings! (didn't know i would need other mentioned items like bracket bolts, etc)

All the extra hardware needed is listed on the first post. What else do you need to know?
I am aware that the other items are mentioned on the first page as i even reflected upon on my last sentence!
What i wanted to know is as a 03 GXE 1.8L owner, would anyone else with this experience and installing a nismo fsb have been able to get away with just installing the front sway bar/sway bar bushings/ and sway bar end links?

I know about the other items mentions like the brakcet bolts etc. but i'm trying to stay clear of buying other things.

I would highly recommend buying the items on the first page (brackets). The stock 1.8S brackets are too small any will not fit the Nismo bushings properly.
