Hello folks. I was looking where the PCV was located in my engine. After reading some on here. It sounded like it should be on the valve cover, with a hose to the intake. I disconnected the only two hoses that go from the intake to the valve cover. This is what I found.

Shouldn't it be located in one of these holes? I don't see a plastic valve anywhere.

Sorry, your pictures are not coming up so I can't see what you are looking at. (Photobucket appears to be having a problem today.) If you want pm me and I will send you my email address and you can send me the photos and I will host them for you. In the mean time, here is an image that shows where the valve is on the qr25 motor. I believe that it is in the same basic location on the qg18.

The bottom picture looks like the correct thing (at least same location and general shape as my 01 qg18de, although metal instead of plastic). Check the part number at your local auto parts store or nissan dealership. If they have it in stock, take a look at it so that you have a better idea of what you are looking for under the hood.

I just called my local dealer. The parts guy said the PCV for the 1.8 has the same part number from 02-on. So did they switch it to metal? The price for it is $17.00. I know the plastic ones go for about $9.00.
