So...

I get on the freeway Saturday night and begin cruising
at around 72, when I notice a lot of wind noise coming
from the drivers side door. This is the second time
I've noticed it. I check the front and rear windows to

make sure they're up all the way, and then decide to open
the door and close it again to be sure that nothing got
caught when I closed it.

Using my left hand, I open the door. It only opens a
couple of inches since I'm still going 70. Then I reach
across with my right hand, slip my fingers into the
door armrest/handle and attempt to pull the door closed.

That was when the entire door handle pulled right out of
the friggin' door, and sent my right arm flying across my
body!! I quickly dropped the door handle, stuck my hand
into the hole left by the now missing part, and slammed
the door.

So boys and girls, it seems we have another part that
is simply snapped in place, instead of being screwed.
Most cars have a screw at the bottom of the area where
your fingers slide into the door handle, but not the
Sentra. I put it back in, but I'm still not sure it's
secure.

Be careful.

Just looks like something else to add to the list of various problems and concerns.

I found this out a long time ago when I thought I had to remove the whole door panel to change out the front speakers. :D If it's just the top part that came off, superglue that thing back in because it's not going to stay in anymore without it.

I did the same thing while replacing my front speakers. I superglued it back on, but after awhile it broke free again. I just went and bought a replacement. It was like 25 to 30 bucks....
