Hello all and Happy new year.

Basically, my sentra has keyless entry and trunk release for the existing 3 oem remotes from the dealer. It does not have the factory alarm. I want to add a quality (not so high end) AM alarm system and if possible add things like the window roll up feature, if you will, but WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO USE THE EXISTING OEM REMOTES. I know that some places (ebay, etc) sell units that state it can be done. went to a local place who installs alarms alarm and they "did'nt know," but want to sell me a high end viper!

Is their anyone who has done this to their sentra and were able to continue using their factory remotes? PLEASE LMK I would greatly appreciate it. :)

it can be done, but may not be exactly what youre looking for, it will also be a electrical wiring nightmare.

you will be carrying around 2 fobs, when you only need one.
one fob used to deactivate the alarm.
the nissan fob to unlock the doors, most likely your new alarm has this functionality.

normally, keyless entry includes a basic alarm system, or you can opt for nats, better nissan security. what year model sentra do you have?

thanks for the reply and always wanting to help out. I get what you mean. their is a cheap 40 model alarm system that is suppose to work with factory equipped remotes and have an optional add on window roll up module. Waiting for that sellers reply becaus he has 2 versions one with a "microwave sensor," (don't know what that is?) and w/ out.

I have a 03 w/ low miles 60K

i would stay away from very cheap alarm systems, they tend to malfunction. let us know what information you find out.

thanks. yeah i figure it wouldn't be that great since its so cheap. but if i get the nissan module to make it an alarm, i figure it will be expensive. the local shops have various options the cheapest being $129 but all offer remote start which i dont really need/ want. idk, i'll keep checking with them and i guess ask the partouts here for an alarm module if they have one

just want to treat my sentra for 2013 :)
