I have 93,000 miles on my 2005 Spec-V and I'm really getting sick of the stiff suspension I have. The previous owner put lowering springs on the car and I am unsure if any other suspension parts were changed out. I have Energy MM inserts as well. What part should I replace to change the hard ride I have? I don't want to spend $900 on adjustable coilovers and don't even know if that would work. I am curious if new shocks and struts would work and what brand is recommended. Thanks

If you want a better ride you really need to ditch those lowering springs. If the struts are still good, you could just get OEM springs and replace them.

It is probably a better choice to just buy the whole assembly (strut/spring) and just install those. Check rockauto.com, I am sure you will find what you are looking for.

yea, if you want soft, youre looking at oem stuff. the spring and strut are most likely what youre looking for. you could also check the bushings, on the control arm and stuff, if theyre poly, theyre a bit rougher ride over the oem soft rubber bushings.

just remember, the specv suspension isnt 'very soft' to begin with, after youve changed out those silly springs, and maybe struts, try looking for smaller wheels, or more rubber on those wheels.
