All of the Buick Grand Nationals are turbo/automatics, and it works very well. This allows you to build boost oof the starting line by foot stalling the engine against the torque converter.

We already talked about this before, and if you turbo your auto, your engine will be fine, but you can say goodbye to your tranny. going over 200 wheel hp(or 230hp at the crank) will very quicky destroy your auto tranny, the only way your tranny can handle the power is with a full makeover by one of the few auto tranny perf. places around. expect to pay around $2k-$3k for your tranny to be able to hold everything(around 700-800hp).

Well.. what about a Supercharger? The auto tranny should be able to hold that, right?

actually

yeah you are right there isn't one for us yet, but you can prob mod a Jackson supercharger or a roots type blower from many of the different companies to fit your car, you would just need to have a crazyly customized shorty-style manifold to make it work, just find an engine that is relatively the same size as ours and then buy that blower and try to make it fit, figure a lot of money to do this, so you could just say don't try it. Talk to vortech or Powerdyne, if you really want and have $6-7k available as well as good clerical skills you can talk to them over the phone and tell them how much making a super for the sr20de engine would benefit their company, and how you will pay for all the R&D costs, maybe as much as $10k, so in my opinion just forget about it. :(
