Hola,

This is what I'm thinking I really want that 2.0 motor, but I just bought a my GXE about 4 months ago. I owe around 11900k on my GXE how much more are the SE's? It be cool if I could just give them like 3k and my car for an 2001 SE manual. Am I dreaming? How much are the 2001 SE manuals? btw what is that performance package everyone is yapping about?

I got my 5-spd SE for 14,700 w/o tax. It has the performance package on it, which includes 16" wheels, lower profile tires, tighter suspension and a wing. I think the GXE dosen't have limited slip diferentials, but I am not sure. I love it; too bad I crashed it!!

Right now your tradein value is probably a bit less than you owe. MSRP for an SE/PP is about 16,500. You would need to add on the extra finance charge, tax, title, dealer prep, blah blah blah to that to get the full increment. I wuld guess probably around 5 -6 thousand more.
If you want the 2.0 you have to do it soon though. I believe it disappears after the new SE-R arrives.

yeah the 2.0 is going bye bye, get the 2.0 ASAP man, it will be 1.8 and 2.5 after the SE-R appears. If the qr25de handles mods good and it seems to be good for mods and it likes the mods, and lots of mods come out for it including turbos and supers, then I will probably just get a qr25de transplant in the near future.

Um, last I checked, the taxes and fees and stuff are usually around 10% of the purchase price. So say the car retails for 16,500, then your looking at probably 1,650-2,000 more.

You also want to take into consideration that your car is gonna be below what you owe one your loan so they will have to carry that over towards the new car so you'll actually have to pay more for the car than the retail.....Unless you can come up with a healthy down payment....

I feel the same..I just got my GXE in Jan of this year and want to trade it in for a SE 2.0, but guess what I owe 15740 total payoff..so I will be keeping my car too..

The GXE is a great car too. Not quite as much power as the SE, but you get going fast with the low torque peak. And the mileage is much better, which is why I got the GXE. 10 mpg makes a big diference when you are putting on about 30000 a year.
