It's not gonna look perfect. The problem with touching up a mark is that usually the chip has depth to it. So, your trying to repaint the area, and also fill the void created by the missing paint. Typically, you end up with a slight indentation where the chip used to be.
I have found a good article on how to properly fix rock chips using touch up paint. unfortunetly, it is very time and labor intensive, and involves light sanding and what not. I don't think it is something I would try doing. Here is the link anyways.
