HI ALL, I was curious to know if anyone has replaced the antenna on the 00 Nissan Sentra GXE..that antenna has to GO..it is very distracting and doesnt fit the cars style. What in the world was nissan thinking when they slapped that antenna on the right side..?! I want to replace it or move it to the back..any advic.looks like it belongs on a truck..also the gear shifter is also funny looking where do i go to replace that thing..please let me know where and how much that would cost...

Welcome to the board.

The only car that the Antenna has been removed on is the SEMA car. They shaved it off, so that the passenger side fender is smooth. I don't know how they relocated the antenna though.

A few people have replaced the shift knob. You can also replace the whole unit with a short shift model. I personally don't know what is so offensive about the knob, but there are some fancy aftermarket units that are available. Be prepared to spend about 80 bucks though.

I think someone on this site replaced their antenna on their b14. They placed it on their roof.

I did the Euro antenna install. The link to my site is in my signature and you can see the pictures in the picture sections. I haven't done the write up for the install yet b/c the job isn't done yet. I still have to shave the old antenna mast and I want to include how to do that in the write up also.

The only company i found so far that makes a nice looking shift knob with the O/D button that fits a nissan is Levoc.......

Got the euro antenna installed too. Looks cleaner w/ a fuba in the back IMO anyways. Front antenna is no problem because it just unscrews. The base of it is a different story. Still gotta shave that ridiculous looking thing off.

Do you have any pics? I'd be interested to see how a B15 looks with the fuba, even if the antenna base is still in the front.

Auto Zone sells a small, universal black antennas for a couple bucks. They are about 12" tall. They look a lot better than stock and only cost about $5.

Honestly, I'm not sure. It may be my imagination, but I think I may have lost a tiny bit on the weaker radio stations. On the strong stations, it's all good. Maybe this weekend I'll screw my stock mast back in and do a comparison (if the weather clears up).
