Tar Removal?

Hey guys,

What do you normally use to remove tar from your car. I don't want to use anything that will mar the finish, and at 2 months old I don't want anything that is going to hurt the paint either.

If you go to any automotive store they should carry cleaners designed for taking of the tar on your car...

Also I've heard great stories on WD-40 removing tar as well.....

On my '98 SE-R I used to have black rubber door edge gaurds that melted off in the AZ sun. They left a whole strip of black goo. I used "bug&tar remover". It worked o.k. but it took a lot of rubbing. Be careful with that new paint though. I would make sure to wash it off real good when your done so you're not leaving that stuff on the paint.

Oh, and a another thing. Having a good coat of hard wax on the car makes removing stains and tars much easier. I reccomend that everyone remember to wax their car.
