Has anyone replaced the sub that comes stock in the rear deck for the 04-06 se-r? I need to know depth allowed for a 8"-10" sub if I need to get a shallow type sub or not. And an fyi a 6.5 ds65 kicker speaker does not fit in the door panel and the ds60 sounds like poo.

You can mount as deep of a sub back there as you want. If you look inside your trunk you can see it. You will have to access it from the back seat though. But it is a 6.5 inch sub. Modification will be required to fit a larger diameter.

As for the door speakers. You will need adapter plates for a 6.5" speaker. The stock speaker is a 6.75".

Actually the screw pattern didn't work with plate cuz that kicker was a weird design so I just used a 6" with no prob but they don't sound good cuz it leaves gaps around the speaker. Are you sure it's 6.5 cuz it looks larger. I have 2 6.5 coaxials and they look smaller.

are you talking about the 2 rear deck speakers, or the 8" subwoofer from the premium/rockford fosgate package that looks like this :
