looking to put a sr20det in my specv. do not know the difference between them. i know it has to be awd, or fwd. but the models?? i have a guy wanting to sell me a s13 blacktop from japan.
which is the best model/year? thanks..

S13 blacktop will not fit.

Your options are:

RNN14 Gti-R SR20DET
U13 Bluebird DET
U12 Bluebird DET
W10 Avenir DET
W11 Avenir DET

Depends what you consider "best". I prefer a U13 Bluebird. Mainly b/c of the external coil, and the fact that is shares most of its parts with a USDM SR20DE from a 91-94 SE-R. Easiest to work on, too....be sure to replace bearings, oil pump, water pump if the engine has high miles.
