So I was Googling and noticed that a SE-R only has 165hp while the Spec V has 175hp. What was it that Nissan did to give the Spec V's 10 more horse?
Changed the 6 to a 7 on all the printed material. :D

Not sure really. Probably nothing more than a timing change and different muffler/resonator. Doesn't the Spec-V list "premium fuel recommended" while the SER does not?

fuel could be one of the differences. the variable timing for the intake cam could be programmed more agressively into the ecu, as ser and specv has different ecu codes. also, another difference is specv supposedly came with iridiums and the rest of the qr25 came with regular platinums. i believe the entire exhaust is identical. not sure about the intake side, it looks identical, but i cant compare anything here.
