Since moving to the new board I haven't been able to perform any searches on threads past Feb. Can anyone help me with instructions on how to remove the front door panels and rear deck speaker covers to upgrade the speakers? Would really appreciate whatever advice you can give.

Do you happen to have a factory-mounted spoiler? If so, it makes it a little easier.

I would also greatly appreciate it if you could send me a copy as well,,,I wann do the upgrade soon....thanks

Y2k SE, I do have the spoiler. Got the PP, ride is icelandic pearl. Thanks a ton, if you can get your scanner hooked up and forward the instructions. Have a full setup of MB Quarts ready and waiting to be installed!!
No mention of the front pillar speakers, I imagine the pillar trim is held in place with the same white clips as the back pillars.
Notes on my install:
* Ignore the brake light assembly (Step 6). Those with factory wings won't have this. None of that dumb Honda crap with a 3rd brake light in the window AND the wing.
*The 2 clips on each edge of the rear deck panel (the part with 4 total clips) were missing. These are on order at the dealership.
*You will probably break a few of the white plastic clips removing the pillar trimpanels. I broke one. They come in bags of 10, I think they were approx 22 cents for me. Your cost will most surely be higher. It might be wise to have these before doing the install.
hey Y2K SE, do you happen to have the part number for those clips. coz i went to the dealership and tried to buy some clips and parts person said that it comes with the trim panel. he said that i'd have to buy the whole trim panel. now if you have the part number it would just save me a lot of hassle.
on the other hand i could just take it apart and show the part to him.

He's wrong. The packing list is out in my car; I'll getcha ya the part # tomorrow. K?
Ok. I labelled the clips on the rear deck with their respective part #'s. You'll need to ascertain which you need.
If you need the white clips that keep the trim panel on the pillar, I image those come seperately. I never bothered to order a replacement for the one I broke during my speaker install.
01553-10281 are black and are purchased each. For example, if you want 4, order 4.
01553-0066u are red and come in bags of 10. For example, if you want 2, order 1; if you want 13, order 2.
Note on my car, the 2 red clips that attach the rear deck panel to the underlying metal frame and are covered by the back-up panels were not installed on my car at the factory. I do not if they are warrantied items, as my Dad had to pay for them for me - they were approx 30 cents for the bag of 10.
