I've been thinking Russ, you have been such and invaluable asset to the Sentra community that I would really hate to see you delve into the world of the V6! I have come up with and alternative for you.

You could:

A.) Buy a 2001 Nissan Maxima loaded out for around im guessing $21-23k. I remember you saying last time we met you were planning a Supercharger later on down the road. 1-2k

Base Stats (20th Anniv)- 227hp 217tq
w/SC (20th Anniv)-280-290hp 230-260tq

Grand Total- $~27,000

B.) Keep the dear ole' 00' Nissan Sentra Se WITH PP! I'm guessing you have around 8-12k to pay off if a trade in is in the deal (which I think it is) then add custom turbo $3-4k, Place Racing CAI $200, stromung cat back exhaust $525 and you could still keep your ESM!!

Base Stats (SE w/PP)- 145hp 136tq
w/TB + Bolt Ons~ 280-300hp? 255-270tq (guess)

Grand Total-$20725

A savings of ~$7,000 dollars!!
I just thought I might try to slap some sense into ya!

Why the maxima? Do you think there will be good eals on them this fall when the new Altima arrives? It is supposed to be as big or bigger then the current maxima, with a V6 option that should be as powerful as the Maxima's. I'm looking to replace my Altima this fall, and I'm thinking I would get more car for the money with the Altime than with the Maxima.

John
Actually the Altima won't be bigger than the current Maxima. It is the same size as the previous Maxima. But I want the Maxima because its a Maxima and will always be a Maxima, a Altima can never take that away. :p

I have to admit I've always wanted a Maxima too. I just couldn't talk my wife in to it. Maybe this time if the Altima is about as much of the styling is terrible, I'll have a chance. Or maybe the Z next year.
Go for it get the MAXIMA thats what my wife and I wanted but unfortunately damn bank wouldnt lend that much.....so any way. My father just bought one from GUNN last month the SE w/BOSE,LEATHER,EVERYTHING, in Satin Blue. Damn him! Its a huge step up from the Sentra. But it is Bad ***. GET IT! Good thing your staying with NISSAN, no other car drives like they do.
