I have subsriptions to a bunch of car magazines. Both Car & Driver and Motor Trend have tested the B15 SE, but not Road & Track! Why? Have you looked at a copy of Road & Track lately? Almost every car they Road Test anymore costs well over $30K. Ok, so they tested an overrated Focus ZTS.Only because it sells so darn well. The Sentra and Protege are still better cars! Come on R&T, we're not ALL Doctor's or Lawyer's!!

I guess you have a point. I don't really follow much on R&T. I just wished magazines would talk a little bit more on the new sentras though.

Car and Driver made a nice comparo with a Neon RT and a Sentra SE in the last november issue if I remember.

I got the comparo if you want it.

I have that issue too.

It was a very "brief" article, but they made it clear that the Nissan was the better car. I think the performance data would have been swayed much more in the Sentra's favor if it didn't have to work against the Firestones.

On a side note, I really think the car magazines should test all the cars with the same tires. This is how motorcycle testing is done. It really evens out the field, and removes variables from performance differences between vehicles.

Thanks for the offer,Guy Geo, but I have a copy of the C&D comparison article. The article you speak of is actually in the Aug. 2000 issue. Other articles on the SE are as follows. Motor Trend: 7/00,12/00, & 1/01, Sport Compact Car: 6/00, Auto World Weekly: 24 Oct. 00 (which the SE (p/p ,5 SP.) finished behind the new Civic EX (Auto) & Focus ZTS 5 SP.).
