I recall that the manual was right....

When you put in the 3 1/2 in before you start it it will be higher because the filter is empty. Just check it on the level an hour after you run it.

That is, assuming you know how to change oil, and fill the filter so there's no dry starts...

If you can fill the filter...

on the SR20DE before installing you'll be wiping it off the ground. :D:D:D

I think its recommended to fill half of filter with new oil before screwing the filter back on, but with sentra oil filter position in the back its easier said then done...

yea, don't waste your time trying

There's always enough oil on the bearings anyway. Now if every start was dry the live of even the mighty sr20de would be short.

I bought a set of ramps, with the low car-extensions, and it was really easy to get at.(once I got it off):)

I put in 3.5 qt. and it filled it up perfectly on the H line on the dipstick.
