Looking at an imported from Japan QR25DE motor for my B15. I read that you have to transfer a lot from current to make it work, but is there any difference or good to go? Mine is at 237k miles and is now burning oil at higher roms. I should say the last 30k miles have been exceptionally hard on my car as I race it more then regular driving.

If it's burning oil, have you thought about reconditioning the cylinder head? Otherwise, have you looked at the qr25 from the Nissan Rogue from the year 2000-2006? Should be a more straight forward than the qr25dd from Japan.
