PR group buy

1415 Views 27 Replies 9 Participants Last post by  2000SE
Just wondering why we never thought about a PR group buy. Looks like a lot of people are interested. I wouldn't mind making the phone calls if I get enough people.

I know this belongs in the Group section, but I just wanted everyone to see it. Not too many people go the group buys sections.

If it's better than the $200 normally charged, I'd be happy Gene.

The PR CAI was made for the b13, but should fit in the b14. It fits fine in the b15 with a little modification to the fender wall (that's what I hear). If anyone knows the answer....

SR20DE..Sorry Si guys.
Ahh...I thought the PR's had a B15 specific application.. So I guess the slight modification is because it's originally for a B13?

the fit is rather nice. there is some creativity involved in keeping the APS attached to the MAf adapter, but with a little extra hose, it can be done beautifully and without and CE lights.

the fenderwell has an oval opening that needs to be trimmed to more of a circular shape so the C pipe can fit thru it.

on the PR intake, there are 3 fittings. one for the PCV (the thick hose), one for the intake breather (smaller fitting toward the TB) and the APS fitting at the bottom by the red MAF adapter). APS is the Absolute pressure sensor. If you look at it, the top of the sensor says Bosch Boost sensor. It is the sensor right by the MAF. It is a little black box that has a small curved hose coming off it and it is attached to the MAF by a bronzish looking brace. I wanted to keep it mounted in the stock place, so i had to get a longer little hose. We're talking a whole $.99 here, so it won't break the bank.

here's a pic of the 3 fittings...

since i don't have mine developed yet, i stole one from you guys.

1st pic shows the fitting on the car and the APS sensor. the second pic shows a bigger (and crappy) pic of the APS, so you can see it better. remember, i am not a photoshop wizard!!

in this picture, the APS is the thing on that little brace. it looks like it is sitting on top of the MAF sensor.

We would be happy to set-up a discounted price structure for 9 or more
parties. Please understand though, that this is not in an effort to
discourage purchasing from our competitors who try and copy our
products...you get what you pay for, and quite frankly some of these places
make some real junk. In any case, 9 orders is good for a 15% discount off
the retail price, 12 or more orders 20%, 15 or more orders 25% off. I wish
we could make the numbers lower but we have try keep our wholesale customers
happy..they start complaining when we do these group deals.... Oh, one other
thing, we have a scheduled price increase in March of 2%, so let me know
before then if you guys are going to organize something, we can freeze the
old prices for about 2 weeks to give you time, but I have to know before
March 1st.

Just got it today. Tell me if you are definately interested

9 Orders will save you guys $30 bucks. That isn't bad. As far as who is copying who....I think that is something that is open to debate. Robert at Hotshot seems to think it is the other way around.

Do you think you can get 9 guys together on this?
