Ok I am seriously thinking of painting my car any suggestion on what would look good and what wouldn't???

I saw the cameleon paint on a Dodge Avenger today cruising around and it was white and when the sun hit it,,,,it was blue...
also I like the SEMA cars paint as well it also has the cameleon paint.....
I really like but I know it's exspensive but I wanna keep just regular colors open as well.....

Are you trying to paint the whole car a solid color or are you thinking of doing custom graphics? Chameleon paint would be awesome, but your right, it would be very expensive. Black is a good base coat for some good graphics. Light ghost graphics are always cool. I've seen a Black Dodge Dakota that used a very very dark purple flame job. The flames were only visible from a couple angles and it was very subtle. It wouldn't make your car stickout like a sore thumb, but it defenitely looked very awesome. If your really interested in seeing it, Icould swing by where I always see it and take a picture. Let me know.

Yo Man!

I really think the "electric blue" is dope. You know that special type blue that several cars like the IS300 and I believe the new WRX have. 20th Anniv Max has something similar too. How much does an entire car paint job cost anyway? If you remember I had the post complaining about the sh|tty paint on our cars. I made another nick the other day when I BARELY touched it with a wrench... :(

ya if you could get a picture of it i would apprecate it cause I seen ghost flames done on a red car and I've always wondered how'd they look on black......

But from what I've found out about the chameleon paint is it's about $300 bucks per pintand it takes roughly about a gallon to a gallon and a half to paint so do that math and i'm looking at alot of money for that,,,,plus you gotta buy the hardner and clear coat and what not i'm looking at roughly about $3000 grand......
That's why I wanna keep my options open and you getting that pic is gonna help cause like I said I ws considering the ghost flames also......

If you want a solid color, I would recommend using a paint color from another car manufacturer. That way you can always order more paint if there is a scratch, repaint, etc. With custom colors, that batch is all you have and to make more is more expensive.

I recommend GSR purple.

I've always been partial to solid colored cars. The Chameleon paint is cool now, but is it still gonna be cool in a couple years? Solid colors are a lot safer in that they aren't so "trendy." I'll second a vote for the WRX Blue. I saw that color in person, and I must say it does kick ***.

BTW, I think you might be underestimating your re-paint budget. Unless your planning on doing a lot of the prep work yourself, it could get VERY costly. My buddy just had his old Camaro repainted black, and his estimate was over $5,000.

Maxx bro the $3000 grand is just the paint alone not including the actual spraying......

Besides yes i'll be doing the all the prep myself..... :)

Where are you getting all this money from? :) Maybe we should start calling you Sentra "Pimp" Styling

Sentra Pimp Styling. HAHAHAH!!! :D

I kinda like that Mercedes silver that's on the CLKs. Either that, or some kind of insanely bright candy apple red that puts my tail lights to shame. :)

Personally, I've always liked the SE-R yellow. It's not too bright, not too crazy. It's just right.

Go with something unique SentraStyling, I mean if you got the money to paint, go with something that would tell you apart from all other Sentra'z out there..... the yellow is cool, but how many other model cars have yellow?? think about it... I would like to get something unique.. Just my 2 cents

and when the SE-Rs come out, the hot color is yellow. It's like someone painting their Civic EX Electon Blue Pearl, when everyone knows it's not a Si. It's kinda rice because it will share a color that is only on the SE-R.
