My Front bumper is having a hard life. First, it gets banged up from hitting the ramps in my garage. Now, the paint is peeling from the passenger side fenderwell area. It is just falling off. I just noticed it today when I was washing my car. YOu can see the plastic bumper itself.

So, now I get to call up the dealer, and argue with them to try to get it repainted under warranty. They better do it.

I knew the paint on my front bumper was messed up from the factory, but this is silly! The car is less than 4 months old! I definetly expected more from Nissan. In addition to the paint falling off, I had probably 30 or so sizable chips on the front bumper aswell. Heck, I think the friction of the wind hitting the bumper is enough to take the paint off.

Oh well, I'll keep you guys informed on what happens.

Wow Max, I did notice the same thing with my old bumper! After the body shop installed a new one and painted it, it looks totally brand new. I think the dealership should take care of it, it's bull****. :)

Ahh gotta love Nissan's paint jobs. You don't know how many b13's I've seen lately with half peeled paint ALL OVER the body. I mean, is that how my car is going to look after 7 years or so??? Maybe I won't have to wait that long.

Let us know how what happens with the dealer, Maxx.

I took the car into the dealer today. They are going to have a Independent Paint Contractor come out and evaluate my situation. The Service writer said that they would most likely repaint the bumper. *yay*

Now, if I can find a way to get my Stillen spoiler painted at the same time, I will really be happy!

Yep, if I get my spoilerette, then I was going to take it to the guys that did my hood and bumper. They did a magnificent job on the paint. :)

This paint thing may develop into something bigger. I had a '92 Corsica which I bought as a progtam car. The paint in one or two places felt rougher than the rest of the car. I took it back to the dealer and he said "no problem" he buffed it out. I gave the car to my daughter. A couple of years later I found out that GM had a big problem in the early nineties. I told her about it and they repainted it. That paint job was also lacking in quality and two years later the dealer repainted it ---- again----. I now have the car back again- damn it looks good.

My point is: you may get a paint job- or maybe 2 some day.
