Soo my car was broken into and they took my aftermarket cd player along with other things. Main thing was that they just cut the wires off leaving me no harness from the car itself. Well dash lights worked before that and when i was putting in a new deck there was a yellow wire that when grounded the dash lights would work. Checked all fuses nothing blown, relays are good. But now i had someone professionally install a deck and the dash lights do not work. Maybe a short somewhere? Is there a way to check? Or an easy fix? Im totally stumped. Also, the warning lights in the cluster work like seatbelt, airbag, check engine, brake, all that works. And the illumination for the air cluster and knobs dont work either. Help please..

sounds like the dimmer switch let go, which controls the illumination, so follow that circuit, there could be a break or something from them yanking on wires. just make sure your dimmer is set to high, not so low you just cant see it, it is very easy to hit the switch accidentally
