it is obviously recommended that you use a catless header for your daily driving, so you dont blow your motor. unfortunately, a catless header wont pass your smog or visual inspections. many people in cali, just swap their header for their inspections, then swap it back for daily driving. since your current header is bad, you could also gut out the ceramic and use some antifoulers so you dont get an ses light.
