Hello everyone,

My gf has a 2003 Spec V , I'm here to gather info and fixing the things that are wrong with her car.

So far I have replaced the radiator, has a pinhole leak.

And righnt now I'm in the process of installing a new a/c compressor.
I might start a new thread if I have to but I'm wanting to know where to fill the pag oil from? Should I fill from the low pressure port or could I fill fro
The 14mm bolt on the side of it?

I can post pics if it's better. Thanks!

welcome aboard!

be sure to read the precat and butterfly faq here:

for the ac, i usually fill thru low pressure side, check the fsm, i believe theres only supposed to be like 27-33 psi. not sure exactly how the machine does it, never used one, other than it drains it and fills it back up.

what codes do you have? if you have a p0420, it is your precat failure. dont use bosch o2 sensors, or you will have more problems. when you put a new o2 sensor, its also a good idea to do an idle relearn to reset the values in the ecu, which take time to learn.

I believe it was that code it's been over a year I changed it. It was replaced with an NTK which I believe is the OEM brand.
you changed your precat? shouldve gone catless so there's no potential of failing and causing catastrophic motor damage.

i believe bosch is oem manufacture for o2 sensors, but trust me they suck, the amperages are incorrect. you have made a great choice in using the ntk ;)

I will take off the cat next. Once I can spend $.
I agree with Bosch o2,I don't like them
if you live in a state the does NOT do smog tests. you could just gut the stock headers, to remove the ceramic material inside of it so it doesnt get sucked back into the motor. it only cost like $30, youll need a manifold gasket, donut, 2x antifoulers, and whatever you break/strip getting the header off.

Great idea I might do that, I do have smog here in Cali but ill figure something out.
well, dont ruin your catted header, you will need it to pass your smog test. just find another catless header for a replacement. unfortunately, you guys in cali have to switch to stock catted header to pass smog.
