That's what we need. The board has started to slow down in posts. All the members on this board have contributed what useful information they can thus far... and we've run out of mods to talk about! Damn all those aftermarket companies that aren't supporting us! :D

I agree, things are slowing down. It goes really slow for me because I sit and watch the boards for 8 hours a day. We need more members and defenitely more testing and reporting going on. Doesn't anyone have any questions?

I watch the boards all day too! hehe. Sad, isn't it. I have a good excuse though. My job is really boring, and posting here all day gives me something to do. I don't have a problem though....I can quit anytime I want! :)

Yah, I am supposed to be working too but I get my work done weeks before I need to turn it in. What else am I supposed to do? Isn't it great to be paid for watching the B15Sentra.net UBB boards.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who does this on the job. Man, my work is BORING! Always done in advance. Questions? Hmm...

Alrite, I got a question. I know some of the 91-99 SE-R (and SE) trannys had LSD. Are these units in question the same as the 00-01 SE trannys with LSD? I know it's not worth it, but I am seriously considering a tranny swap. After driving a manual all my life, I ended getting an auto SE. WTF was I thinking???

And yes, it's great to get paid to surf b15sentra.net. :D

Edit: I just realized maybe I should post my tranny question where people will see it...

Hey, SR20DE 2K, I am in the same boat as you man. I had to buy auto because I share this car with my fiance. I tried teaching her for three months how to drive manual and she never got it. I finally gave in and bought auto. I only wish I had enough money to buy my own SE 5spd. I told her the next car we get is mine because I'll die if I have to drive auto forever.

Rschauby... man, I'm pretty much deadset on the tranny swap. It's only a matter of time. I can't stand the lack of control the autobox gives! I figure it this way... either swap the darn thing out, or get a torque converter. Forget the TC, it's all about the manual.

But seriously, I've been checking out copartfinder.com. In the country, I think there are like TWO wrecked manual b15 SE's right now. Damn I want one of those trannys!

Would doing a swap be more economical than trading (or selling on the street) your car for a new manual. My car has only 3500 miles and I have the ABS/sideair package. That with automatic is about $1500 MSRP. Would my car be worth what the cost of a new SE w/PP 5spd is?

My car is now for sale for $16,500 or the trade of a SE 5spd w/PP!

With the resale value of our Sentras, who knows? Just a (very uneducated) guess, but I'd say it would be all the same for me. Unfortunately, I have cut into the body already... got a fuba up top and sidemarkers on the side. That will hurt my trade in value. Had some new tips welded to my stock exhaust (my fight against the rust), and the chrome piece of my grille should be painted body colored by now (when it gets back from the shop). Aside from all that, the wiring on my stock stereo system has been decimated by my own hand. Damn line out converters. So you tell me. Would it be more economical for me to trade my car in? Or just do a swap? I figure it'll be the same thing either way. Besides... I'm too lazy to put the stock springs back on. :D

Oh yea... my car has like 13k miles on it and really sucky gas mileage. :D

MY CAR IS OFFICIALLY FOR SALE !!!

SR20DE 2K, my car is pretty much factory condition. The only things I've done is put in some PIAA lights and put on tint. I've also had that stupid ill-fitting air bag replaced. That should add at least $500 to the resale value. I only have 3,500 miles. Do you think I can get $16,500?

Go check out the classifieds if you are interested in a new Sentra!

$16,500 is a bit steep. That is like what they cost new. hehe. I bought mine for $15,900. Minus the Auto of course.

don't worry about the gas mileage, I get horrible city gas mileage too, like 20mpg. but I took a 300+mile Coral Springs, Florida to Gainesville, FLorida(Coral Springs is about 35 min from Miami) and I made it in one tank of gas. The good gas mileage is there just watch your foot, I can't help myself my foot is too heavy

Yah, but would about the cost for tax tag title and Licsense? That is almost $2500 right there.

2K1Drag... I get about 18MPG regardless of how I drive. As someone said earlier, I might as well be driving a Ford Excursion.

My SE was $18,500 new BTW.

dawmnnnnnn, get that thing checked man. But anywho my car was 17,500 or so with everything except sunroof brand new. somehow they slipped in an auto tranny too(damn parents can't drive stick). but I am going to make the best of it and try to have the fastest Sentra with an auto w/ shift kit/torque converter/valve body work, if the tranny goes then 5spd it is.

SR20DE and rschauby -

You guys got autos cuz of your significant other? I know how you feel...but luckily, my wife (fiance at the time that we bought the car) was able to learn how to drive stick...AFTER we bought the car. Hehe...i was slick and told her how easy it was to drive stick and how much better it was. So we ended up buying 5sp (which was soooooo hard to find at that time). Now she LOVES it...especially with the CAI and exhaust...even SHE can feel the difference. Gosh I love my wife :)

I hear what you're saying about the availability of a 5-spd. There was only 4 in the Miami area. 3 were SEs, and 1 was a GXE. Two SEs were black and were WAY TOO far from my house, the other was a Jade SE, about 10 miles away. I would have loved the black, but I settled for the Jade!!
