moisture in headlight casing?

1383 Views 19 Replies 9 Participants Last post by  Chip
First let me say that I am auto illiterate.

My right headlight(not the bulb) somehow got some moisture on the lense... it looks like my headlight is fogged up or something. Its been like that for a few months and Im not sure if I can get a cloth in there to wipe it off or not, any suggestions?

The headlight case *should* be a sealed unit. The only way moisture could get in there is if it is cracked, or if one of the light bulb housings isn't sealing properly, or is loose.

Take the car to the dealer. The moisture could cause some electrical problems for you

This will be replaced under warrenty as long as your car is still covered. I had the same thing on my 2001SE/PP. Piece of cake.

Would someone hurry and block that loser from this board please.

N oway bro cause you can dry it out but it usually boils down to a small hole or the headlight bulb isn't sitting properly that is allowing the moisture to condensate on the inside of the headlamp assembly.....it should deffinetly be under warranty though,,,so nothing should come out of your pocket....

ya, just take it back to the dealer. maybe they will let you keep the old ones and you now have a donor set to screw with, see if you can get that ugly amber reflector out.
