So, I ordered from Amazon because I have amazon prime. Amazon parts match list the 71112R as fitting, it's 40 bucks. http://www.amazon.com/Energy-Suspension-7-1112R-Insert-Nissan/dp/B000BTNNY0/ref=au_pf_pfg_s?ie=UTF8&Make=Nissan%7C67&Model=Sentra%7C899&Year=2003%7C2003&carId=001&n=15684181&newCar=1&s=automotive&vehicleType=automotive

It says it is for the 2.5 spec -v BUT the parts match says it also fits a 2003 GXE. So they got here, I got the car on a lift, jacked up the engine a little, and removed the front mount, not even CLOSE to fitting.

So, I went on here to check the sticky thread, it says for a QG18 I need the 71110 model, but on the ES website linked it says
2000 - 2001 Nissan Sentra and 200SX
2.0L Manual Transmission Only

I have a 1.8 L automatic ( yea I know, lol, just want to try em out anyways ) QG18DE so the link in that thread has to be wrong? I went to amazonn and their parts matcher says that the one linked does NOT fit my vehicle. Who is right? The 71110 model is a lot cheaper, 24 dollar and free 2 day shipping, or 3.99 for 1 day with my prime.

Any help? Am I looking at the wrong inserts here on amazon? If someone can find them on amazon with prime options that would be awesome, because it is giving me some trouble here.

So amazon says they will correct their information and remove the 1.8L GXE as obviously it can't fit, the makers of the product even say it doesn't, so I don't know where they got their chart from lol. So, will that second model fit, the 71110R one for $24? Even though amazon says no? I would buy it just to see but since their parts match says it wont fit, when I go to return they will charge me 5.73 for return shipping as it was my fault for ordering in error.

There is definitely a set of Energy Suspension Motor Mount Inserts that will work for the 1.8 platform. I had them installed in my 1.8, and I know several others here have as well.

I can't remember the part #, but it should be here somewhere. I would do a search for qg18de MMI and see what pops up.

A quick search showed for QG18DE MMI brought up several results. The second result is a thread specifically for Energy Suspension stuff. About 5 posts into the thread is a resopnse from 2KBlackSE......

i just got off the phone with ES and heres what they had to say:

7.1109 - sr20 transmission shifter bushings
7.1110 - MMI (will work for 1.8 and 2.0)
7.3113 - rear control arm bushings (active part#, but never made/sold a set). The rep is looking into either getting some made OR figure out as to why they were never sold.
According to that, the 71110R should work (r meaning Red).

Also, if you get a chance check out the QG18DE performance thread.

Yes, I was in the QG18DE performance thread sticky, which linked those MMI, but the description said for the 2.0 manual trans only, and amazon parts matcher said it wouldn't work for the 1.8 GXE so I didn't buy those initially. I didn't do a search for another thread discussing it. Thanks for quoting blacks post, I will purchase that set and see how it goes. Thanks for the help!

The parts fit, but MAN the job was way harder than it was suppose to be, I don't know if we did something wrong or what, but it gave us some crazy amount of trouble.

Lifted the car over head clearance. Jacked up the engine using a floor jack, a long 2x4 vertically, and a short 2x4 horizontally. The front was simple. The back, which looked easier, was ridiculous. I removed the through bolt for the mount. Then removed the 2 bolts underneath holding the subframe. Then the subframe swings down to access the mount.

Those inserts for the back were really hard to fit in the mount lol, had to get a vice and squeeze, rubber mallet was useless. They still didn't squeeze in all the way, so I pushed one side in, and then neighbor used a flathead to squeeze the other in, and I pushed the subframe back up and held it in place while he used a pneumatic airgun to tighten the subframe back on to hold it up. After it was back up, the through bolt DID NOT line up at all, tried messing around with the jack, it helped a little, ended up having to get an ice pick and stick it in the corner of the exposed hole, and prying it back into place, then a crowbar from the other side, and I finally was able to get the spike for the through bolt in, and hit it with a hammer, and then air ratcheted it on. THEN we went to tighten up the subframe back on as we loosened it a little to get the through bolt in, and one of the cheap bolts broke off inside! So we had to tap and drill it out, another big waste of time. And to top it off, there was a whole wall full of bolt drawers, and we had a 12mm and a 10mm, but the subframe must use an 11mm ( which racecars aren't japanese and he worked on racecars so he never needed a 11 mm for anything ) so now I am going to have to go to the store and buy another one -_-, and not a cheap one. I thought the whole purpose of relieving pressure on the engine with the jack, was to prevent it from coming out of alignment, well, that didn't happen here haha.

But I am glad I didn't have to do anything laying on my back with jackstands, that is just miserable.

Also, the vibrations ARE noticeable, with both sets of inserts on, idling in drive or reverse, not in park. Nothing that is bothersome though, just take some getting use to, and if you have subs in the trunk, it's hardly any different than having them up anyways.

yes, the jack it to aid in realignment, not to relieve pressure on the motor, this would cause it to shift/move.

also, normally you need like a c-clamp to press in the mmi's. these are pressed pieces, but they are an easy press, which is why you managed to squeeze them in there. also, there are a few bolts that are 11mm, ive used mine a few times.

Well, called autoparts stores and they are telling me the crossmember bolts are dealer only. Called 1 dealer who said they have to order it. So calling salvage yards right now so I can just get a used one. Now I suppose I could get a bolt and retap to make the hole fit the new bolt, but I would rather have the right one. Is this the part number ? 11298-2J220. Got two more nissan dealers in the area I have to call still

Yea, actually found the part number in another thread, its 1 not 0, 0 is for the front. I got one coming in on Thursday, decided to not go with a different bolt because the dealer bolt has a thick shoulder encasing around it, and it looks like it stops it from vibrating, don't know how good another bolt would fit in there. Online overnight shipping would have been another 40 bucks -_-, so I just got it over the phone from a dealer. I wish amazon carried this crap.

Salvage yards were not interested in selling when my neighbor called over the phone because it is a small part that only costs 2-4 bucks new, and it takes some effort to get to it to remove, it's not worth it for them. He knew a couple owners that would do it, but they didn't have any sentras in their yards.
