Hey everyone, just wondering how many monthsy you've had your car and how many miles are on them. I got mine back in August, so it has been 7 months now, and I already have 11k on it, thats like nearly 1600 miles a month, is that too much?

I certainly dont wanna break down this engine. I know the SR20DE is a great engine, anyone know what the typical life span of it is? I'm doing my regular oil changes, even though the manual says 3500 miles, i change it at around 3000 if not before. I'm also using Z-MAX, anyone know if that stuff actually works?

Akebono. Here's a different perspective. I have mine 2 month and have 875 miles on it. I do have two other vehicles though. I drive 10,000 per year. To me being on the road is:

#1 taking time away from doing other things
#2 Costing me money
#3 Wearing out car.
#4 more likely having acident/speeding ticket

Hard to say how long car will last. Depends how long you want it to last. My theory is drive it long enough to buy the next one cash.

One other thought. Switch to Mobil 1. Lots of documentation that engine will have very wear on all moving parts after 200,000 miles.
Of course if you frequently red line... It's your money.

Bought mine in mid November... Just turned
5000. I'm glad I don't live 25 miles from work anymore!

Plus the SE is more fun in the city, where there are more twisties and Civics.
