why do u want to raise the idle?(low idle?)

u have a automatic, raising the idle above spec. will cause a harsh engagement from park to rev. and drive. also when ur in gear(D) the car will always want to go even with ur foot on the brake.

I dont think you can reprogram a OEM PCM or ECM to meet personal needs.
no matter what the computer will always try to bring it to spec. there are so many sensors it maybe hard(MAP,MAF,O2,KNOCK,CTS,IAT)

since u have a 1.8 try swapping fuel injectors with a 2.5 make sure the diameter is the same i dont know if its a direct fit. if it dont fit, dont use it.
but the O2 may make adjustments for excessive fuel.

there are more ways right and wrong ways i but try this first.

How do u know I have a auto 1.8? Did I put it in my profile? Well anyways. Went to the dealer. They said can but they won't. Went down to Munky works and the cipher program doesn't connect so doesn't work.

I checked out all my sensors. There all still working like a charm. But I did notice that TB was Hella dirty so I'm going to try that. If not then I'm going to buy a jet ECM from my cousin.

You just have to be aggressive with the dealership. I've taken my spec in 3 times now for an oil change and had them bump the idle/timing at the same time. The idle does get bumped, so I assume the timing is too.

Here's the thing, they'll try to tell you it will cost $$$ to have the work done. Say "come on man, you know that's B.S. Your tech has to wait a few minutes while the oil drains, and it doesn't cost anything to plug in the OBD2 reader. You've done it for me before."

P.S. I believe doing the pedal dance undoes the dealer settings, so bring it in AFTER you clean the air filter/TB/ETC.

If you want to raise your idle, it's easy. Just change your air filter and clean your maf and throttle body. After I did all of that my idle went from 1k to about 1.4k. Then I did the idle relearn dance and it's at 780ish now.

I have an ODB2 scanner, but no consult. Sorry bro. If you need the reader you can stop by any time to use it.
