At the risk of bombardment from the flame nazis, should i ground my knock sensor now?? Or maybe put a resistor in-line??

yeah, that's what i've gathered from searching. Why does everyone relocate it instead of just grounding it?

Dude, you've been around here longer than I have, you should know this.....you can't just relocate the sensor and not re-ground it. The sensor is grounded to the engine block in it's stock position bolted to the engine. When you relocate the sensor away from the block, that ground is no longer there, so you must create one by extending a wire from the sensor at it's new location to the stock location on the block.
