Key Mod Advice Needed! 02 Spec-V

Hey guys! Obviously i'm new here, and i have a question about my spec v. I ordered a switchblade key shell, and i am curious as to if anyone else has done this with their own car. I have one programmed remote, one programmed key, and an unprogrammed valet key. I have read that you have to cut open your programmed key and retrieve the transponder, then place it inside your flip key shell. I'm a little nervous about performing surgery on my only programmed key :).Any advice or alternate routes?

Well for anyone curious, i got it all stitched up and finished today. Little dissappointed witn the fob build quality. I wouldn't recommend buying one off of Amazon. :) Love my Spec-V (aside from the precat/oil guzzler issue, and the passenger visor shorting out my locks.)
