Since AEM is known for their intakes, if they were to make one for our b15's would any of you go crazy over it? I mean would you replace your PR or HOTSHOT intake for it?

I know I would cop it.
But I don't think AEM will make one.

Everyone is just making a "filter on a stick." Unless they found some new, novel location for the filter, it would be just the same as the PR and Hotshot models.

They've got that new bypass valve, but you can retrofit it to any intake. I stick with the Hotshot....whenever it gets here.

Hmm..I don't think AEM is making one for us, but if it already came with everything and the bypass valve on, I would probably hook up with one, just to save the hassle. Well, it still looks like Hotshot and PR are they only ones that have even tried to make applications for our specifically.

I've talked to two different people at AEM, and one told me they were considering it, the other told me they didn't have a car to try fitment on.

I was assured that if they did, then it would have CARB (that darn acronym again) approval.

But, as posted before, I wouldn't hold my breath. I'm going with Hotshot or Place Racing because their stuff is out and proven.

Why would you want to be associated with Honduh tuners anyways?

Not any different than HOTSHOT or PR but just you know how people are, they will go for the name because it's a "AEM"...I don't care really but I had AEM on my civic si and it kicked...compared to others.

Well, but I guess they won't be coming out with anything for nissans.

I'm sure it's easily done all you have to do is get those rubber connectors that fit....

BTW AEM just posted on the mailing list. They want donor cars to make CAI's for different Nissan applications! If you are in/near LA look them up!

you read my mind....
here's the info...

AEM is looking to develop a Cold Air Intake System for the Sentra and
200SX.
We are in need of vehicles to design these kits on. If anyone in the
Los
Angles area would be interested in having their vehicle used for the
design
of these new intake kits please E-mail me with your name, number and
your
vehicles information. Please note we are looking for cars that are not
heavily modified. We also require that you have all the pieces
necessary to
put the car back to stock trim (i.e. stock air box, filter, hoses,
etc.).
Cat back exhaust systems and suspension modifications are ok.
