OK some info about my car.

2002 GXE Auto
165K on it.
No CEL.
around 132K replaced the head gasket and valve cover gasket.

Issue I am having is when I come to a stop and the engine is idling, after a few seconds, it will start to miss and it wants to stale. RPMs will jump around from around 400ish to 1000. normally it use to idle around 600ish.

once i give it throttle there is no issue.

there is no miss anywhere else.

so far i have only noticed this when i come to a stop and leave it in gear. i have not tried it in park or neutral yet as normally i am too busy driving to work or school.

i am at a lost as to what it could be. i was thinking that maybe coolant was leaking in and it only effects it at idle. my dad was thinking it is bad gas.

anyone have any ideas?

this could be evap related, do you hear any air leaks on the intake, like a hose loose or cracked. clean out your iacv, egr, and pcv, make sure they are functioning properly. this could also be a failing cam/crank sensor, which are common problems.

if the tb isnt cable driven, i believe there's a idle relearn somewhere, thats similar to setting the idle with the computer. other possible failures would include o2, maf, tps sensors.

sensors from the junkyard? ::facepalm::

if the tb is not cable driven, i think there's an idle relearn somewhere, you many need it when changing tps.

in the video, whats that noise at 5sec and 17sec, did you have the compressor on? where is that sound coming from? otherwise it doesnt sound normal, hope it not a vacuum hose leaking.

the car is just idling. nothing is on. it could be a vacuum leaks.

also yes sensors from a wrecked wreck 02 sentra. rather get the sensors for free than pay $300+ for a TPS at the parts store or $100 on ebay.

just saying, i know the qr tb was $160 refurb from the dealership, every parts store wanted at least $240. but that was the whole tb, not just the tps. normally i wouldnt recommend used electronic sensors, but if theyre free i guess its better than nothing. also, just so you know, they should all be under $100 at rockauto.com

P0350 - Ignition Coil Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
P0444 - EVAP Canister Purge Volume Control Solenoid Valve Circuit Open

the 444 is saying the purge valve is open. im not sure where this is on 1.8, on my car its up near the intake. so there's no confusion, the purge valve and vent valve are different parts. the vent valve is the one on the evap canister. for the other code, the 350, i have never seen that one, i would follow the diag in the fsm for that one. it most likely will show what wires to test to find the break. hopefully your battery ground was super tight and has good contact to bare metal. sometimes, when the ground cable is bad connection, it will cause the ground point to be coils or ecu, and could cause either to fail.

well i think the 0350 is because while it was running, we unplug the coils to see if it made a difference. and none of the coils are bad.

my ground on the battery is always tight.

i am leaning toward the 0444 so i am going to check all the EVAP ****. i been looking up the code online to get an idea of what it could be but there is a list of 9 different things to check. i will let you guys know what i find out once i get working on it.

thanks for the help guys

from the code, its saying its the purge valve solenoid, so it could be the valve itself. so if thats what the ecu is telling you, i would start there. it's not always an evap code shows a particular part or piece, so i would at least tackle that piece first.

and your right with the coils, if you were unplugging them, that would explain the coil code.
