Does anyone know what ohm/wattage of subwoofer I would need to replace the stock one? I want to retain the stock amp and everything, just would like to know what the ideal replacement for the factory woofer is, as mine is pretty beat.

Thanks.

youll have to do some wiring. the stock sub has double inputs, any normal 8" sub will work. the nicer 8" with large magnets or competition specs maybe underpowered. you will most likely need a box for it as well, as the stock sub box is a real pain to rip apart. its using 2 inputs because the amp powers all the speakers in the car, so its a very underpowered stock sub.

i've seen people cut the hole for a 10" throw an aftermarket sub and amp in there and still retain all that space.

i believe you can fit the 10" on the outside of the box. im not sure if youll have enough air in the box, or if the amp will push the sub. remember, you have the stock amp, if you had an aftermarket setup, thats a different story. im not sure if you will be satisfied with a really underpowered 10" sub. with an aftermarket setup, youll have a lot more power to work with.

That's the thing, I want to stick with an 8" and don't want to redo the whole system, simply replace the worn out stock woofer with a new, similarly spec'd one.
