I'm not really looking to improve my sound system (xm radio is enough) i'm looking for an overall quite ride. I was told that under car rubberized coating is a bad idea cause it enhances rusting and that crap they sell at these pro audio places is $$$$$$$$$. So has anyone done something thats affective and not very exspensive?

Get some mat for the doors, a neoprene sound foam for the doors as well. There are liquid dampeners that are good for the floor.

a local sound shop told me that a cheap route for that is the bedliner stuff in the can like spray paint. He said it's about $2.50 a can and although it's not as good as dynamat or other dampeners made specificly for this it will make quite a bit of difference. He's actually gonna pay for me to do mine next week cause I'm skeptical about it so I'll post results after it's done.

Didnt you start a thread about this? I thought it was you. You rubberized your entire floor area from the inside.
