as far as I know, a bolt is what holds the pulley on. there is also a key that aligns the pulley properly. are either of these what you need?
I need help oncerning crankshaft pulley holders!
My friend is rebuilding my 02 spec v engine and is replacing the timing chain and to hold the crankshaft pulley he needs a crankshaft pulley holder, but the product is nowhere to be found!!! There IS, however, a camshaft pulley on amazon and ebay. Can that be used or is there another product I need? HELP please.

I always use an impact wrench to remove the bolt. sometimes you need a puller to get the pulley off. If you don't have those, you can rent them.
