hey guys i dont own a sentra, but i wanna know how much can be gained on a sentra by advancing the ignition timing, and if it can be done. I know on my prelude if i try to advance the timing the ECU will just compensate for it and put it back to stock.
peace

You gain an average of 1000 rear wheel hp. The main reason for the increase is the transformation of the alternator in to the cold plasma warp core.
According to the bulletin released by the John Hopkins University Applied Physics Lab public relations officer, some transmission modifications are required to accomodate the increase in power. Effectively, since the nature of the propulsion is no longer mechanical, but based on the subspace slipstream-plasma interactions, the internal parts of the transmission can/must be removed. All except the reverse gear. This is needed to back out of the brick walls. A standard issue F-18 drag schute must be fitted to help with breaking and turns. Also recomended is a steel mesh screen to cover the speedometer with, because it can suddenly explode due to unexplained phenomena, which is currently being studied. The lab is running out of B15 Sentras SE to test. Help.
and now for the real answer. It was around 3hp I think across the band.

haha......Shouldn't it only compensate if pinging occurs? Why do you ask if you own a prelude?
I have wondered about advancing the timing on a Honda myself. I have never heard of anyone doing it, why is this?

who cares why he asked, it is good to have another person on b15sentra.net Would you rather he be on clubsi?

Some guys here may not like honda guys, but i don't mind. Most of my friends drive hooked up hondas. One friend is transplanting a b16a1 into his hatch. Another already has that done w/ turbo. My cousin has a prelude with too much sh*t to list, and her boyfriend has a v6 accord that is for mmostly show, and a little go.

Basically, I don't care what you drive. Just as long as it is not riced out, and you are not a flaming troll(clubsi). Welcome to the site.

thanks for the response guys, but uuhhh Artem lay off the star trek man. that is a decent free mod. A lot of people advance timing on hondas, but it can only be done to the 95 models, and under. Because of the stupid obd-2 they use. It will see the advanced timing and the ecu will compensate.

nah they dont have a prob with it unless they are pricks like the guys @mossy can be. Its not a big deal for them to do, have them check the timing (make up a lame excuse like hey it feels weird now)ask them to check it and bump it up to 15 and run 89 octane or 17 with 92. My cuz got his done by the guys @JWT. my timing is stock so im running 87 and will continue to do so with gas prices the way they are...

the dealer has them and so does JWT. They are pretty $$$, i guess it'd be worth it if you were a serious tuner
