My name's Noah Scarpelli and I joined the forum mainly for advice and for tips and ideas. I'm starting to get into "tuning," so I figured it would be hard to do alone! I'm starting with basic stuff like high flow exhaust and some coilovers, but hopefully someday i plan on turbocharging my engine after lowering the compression a bit and MAYBE rebuilding it, because It's 123000 miles old and I don't have the experience to know whether thats really too old for turbocharging. I run the sr20de engine, so i was also considering a qr25 swap later in life. Anyway, I'm glad to be a member! Cheers!

Welcome! Some folks would say don't upgrade to the 2.5....the SR20 motor is pretty bullet proof if you build it right.

Anyway, you are sure to find information here to help you out!

i think the sr20 is practically bulletproof without rebuilding it ;)

x2, i would keep the sr20 as well, it might weigh a lot more, but im sure it will go another 123,000 miles as long as you keep up with maintenance. most of the qr25 are lucky to reach 200k without issues.
