My friend is rebuilding my motor and says to buy cam journal bearings but I cant find them anywhere online. Does the car even have cam journal bearings??

what engine do you have? My QG18 does not have replaceable bearings.

i dont see any on rockauto, i see other bearings and sprockets, theyre not in the master rebuild kit either. i never disassembled my head, were there cam bearings there when the head was taken apart? maybe the dealership has these?

There were but the kid who took my engine apart misplaced them...the dealership says the camshaft needs cam bearings but even nissan doesn't have a designation for the models for this engine...odd.

there are many vehicles that use the qr25, maybe something from altima or frontier? they should be the same bearings as long as theyre from the qr25. maybe nissan forgot to list them for the ser? try asking the guys over at b15u.com, they usually have parts numbers everywhere.

after looking at my fsm, its saying to check the clearences using the cam brackets. when it is out of spec, says to replace cam and head since theyre machined together, lol.
