Here Goes,

I have a manual tranny 5spd in my 03 Sentra GXE.

Whenever I shift up or down into third it tends to not want to slip into position. It also give me a little grinding when it slides in.

It tends to do it more often in cold weather but it still does happen occasionally in warm weather. It doesnt matter if the car is running hot or cold.

Its been like this since I bought the car about 2 years ago.

change the gear oil to Redline GL4

change your gear oil, most likely it supposed to be GL4.

check your linkages and bushings for play or looseness as well.
