Hi everyone, Today I researched for all of us about what products we haven't done yet are available, and what will be available. In the next two or three months, Venom will be including our cars in their Nitrous and VCN-400 product line. their nitrous kit can be bought for around $1300 and the VCN-400 for around $275. The products are amazing. maybe if we can get a big group deal together they will make their Cam Gears for us as well, their cam gears are probably the best in the market right now, as well as the lightest. The Unorthodox Racing 4-pulley set can be bought for $329.00 dollars either from IMPP or from Ultra Performance, Summit Racing also has them for $329.95. everywhere else they cost b/w $360 and $399. I am in the works of talking to JUN Racing and Unorthodox Racing and will let you know the products and the prices.

Do our cars have the same flywheel as previous SR20DE engines?

The Stainless Steel brake lines can be bought at any time from IMPP for $170 dollars or less. The only exhaust available for our cars is the Stromung, and if you don't already have one then you gotta wait about 2-3months for one cuz I bought the last rear section they made thus far.

The best aftermarket ultralight flywheels about 9.5lbs are from ZEX Racing and from JUN Racing. They are both made out of Chromemolly Steel and are a single forged piece. The ZEX Racing can be had for like $500 or maybe even $450.

You can find the Venom Nitrous kit for less than that. There is a group buy going right now for $1050.

BTW, the VCN-400 is a waste of money. I'll post a very revealing article about that little box if you'd like. Basically, it doesn't increase HP at all...it just fools the ECU into thinking your pushing the accelerator further than you are. Guess what....you can push the accelerator further down yourself...and save $400 bucks!

That is a good price for the 4 pulley set from Unorthadox. NOw, if I only had the money. hehehe. :)

What we really need is some damn headers!! Hotshot is gonna be at least a month away, if not longer. AEBS doesn't have anything and neither does Stillen.

Ok guys I talked to IMPP and they told me that the best price for a single person for the 4 pulley set is 329.00 +shipping, and the best price for a single person for the SS brake lines(same as B14) is $146.42 +shipping. I talked to the people at JUN(pronounced JUNE) Racing and they were really nice to me and they are really interested in me getting my project started and they said that all the parts they have made for the sr20de(t) models can fit our new engines, so I am really excited in what me and JUN can work out. I will keep everyone posted.

ok thanks about the VCN-400 info. shizzztttt I believe you no need for the info. I thought it was too good to be true to get 25% extra power. I was wondering how you get to lose 3mpg and I guess that is how. DO NOT BUY THAT, sorry if I made you think otherwise, I will be talking to JWT to see if we can speed up that process a bit. I will let you guys know about JUN when my new catalog with a sheet of info for me is all about. I really want a chromemolly steel flywheel, and I think am going to get the JUN racing one. the flywheel mod is even better than anything else cuz it actually improves over stock by giving a 200% stronger and a twice as light flwheel. the performance gains can be b/w 15-20hp for a stock car, and b/w 25-30hp for a slight-medium modded car. this power figures are to the wheels.

Do you know how heavy the stock flywheel is? I can't seem to find that info.

My buddy just bought a Fidanza flywheel for his Focus ZX3. I'll see what happens to his car after it is installed. That is one heck of a big job though. I don't think it would qualify as a typical bolt-on modification like the exhaust, CAI or even cams. They do a lot for the car though.

the stock flywheel from what I heard is somewhere in the vicinity of 16-19lbs. some say 16 some say 19. so I would have to say it weighs 17.5 pounds. don't go for the lightest flywheel out there man, stick with JUN or ZEX, I talked to both of them and their flwheels seem to be about the same weight and are both a single Chromemolly steel piece, unlike the unorthodox and others multi piece aluminum crap. don't get aluminum cuz it can warp under extreme heat and pressure.

Another one of the products available for our cars is the JWT Adjustable Cam Sprockets, neither I nor JWT is sure if the new cams will fit the new SR20DE engine, but the people at JUN told me that everything is pretty much the same, and if it's not that parts made for the older eng. can be fitted by changing the underlying parts to those of the older engines.

I've been unable to find any info. that says whether the adjustable cam sprockets are worth buying. They don't offer any gains on the JWT cams, but might offer some HP on the stock cams. It's a lot of money to spend to be a guinea pig though. hehe. :)

yeah you are actually right, that is why I am going to go with the JUN Racing lightened cam gears, because even if they don't add much power, it will definately free up power cuz of the weight loss. I am 99% sure the cam geras will fit our cars, I will be the guinea pig probably, so I will let you know, I am leaving my timing stock, so I can advance the timing by 3degrees when I get them. The JWT ones run for $140.

The JWT cam gears are $140 for the pair, I don't know if they are lightened, so I dunno how much you would gain from them besides from the advancing of timing, but talk to them and ask. Their number is (619)442-0680, they don't know if it fits our cars, but I am almost 100 that they do. just in case ask their return policy and stuff. let me know. I am going JUN cuz they said they can hook me up good if I stick with their products, so I will see what up.
