Well I got off of work today and me and my friends planned on going to the local drag strip to test our cars performance. I was very much impressed with how I did. On my 4 th and final run I got a 15.97 @ 83.78mph. My reaction time was .537. Pretty good for my first time at the track! It was a really enjoyable experience, I would recommend a track run to anyone who likes to see what their sentra can really do!

I will post the scans of my slips later this week.

Cool, I'm up here in Connecticut but i can't wait to run my car at the track. Englishtown opens in less than a month.

im guessing you have raced before, seeing as how this was my very first time to line up at a track with not very good traction for the first 100 ft i think i did pretty damn well. The SE cannot run a 15.5 stock, it runs 15.7's.....i hope stock doesnt mean 50 shot of nos and resonator removed like your sig implies...what nos system are you using?
Care to post the timeslips?

Ok look, I don't have a Sentra, but I like them, and I came on hear to learn more about them not to flame them. With that being said, I personally watched my friend run a 15.5 in his stock Sentra, with only a removed filter to race, and no resonator. It was his second time @ the track(maybe 4 runs under his belt) Just because Motor Trend tells you an SE runs 15.7, doesnt mean a 15.5 is not possible in a stock Sentra. Since my friend doesnt have a scanner, I'll scan his timeslip tomorrow. Stop denying other Sentra owners that are giving you guys good names at the track.

No, i didn;t spray i have the kit but i havenm;t used it yet and its a NOS brand kit, i took out my resonator and filter, and posted a 15.5 my 3rd try, and yes it can be done, i am only 17 so however much experience i can get in that year i used, and yeah i will post a time slip as soon as i scan it in

I believe it can be done. Jay Hassinger went 15.0 with a Knn and exhaust and my buddy Mark went 15.1 with similar mods.

Wouldn't taking out the resonator make the car louder? Also, I hope all the people reading how the filter was taken out understand it's more of a track only mod. Lastly, just because one Sentra runs a 15.7 bone stock does not mean another bone stock Sentra can't beat that time. There are all kinds of factors ranging from the engine tolerances, driver, and track/weather conditions that can affect 1/4 mile times.

yeah taking out the resonator does make it louder but i dont; care it sounds bad *** when u are up in the 4000RPM range and that is howling. And not taking the filter out it not a track only mod, when i race someone on the street i take it out too, and what abotu people with slicks so their times don;t count since they only use the slicks at the track, and they can;t run that time on the street, so WTF who cares my time counts

No one said your time didn't count. I believe that AZ was trying to keep others from damaging their motors, he was probably trying to keep someone from just removing their filter for good and driving anywhere(dirty road) which would not be good at all for any engine! So ease up Chip, we're not out to get you.later

Whoa Chip, chill. I was not criticizing your mods. or doubting your time. If I was I wouldn't be subtle about it. Anyway my point was about protecting the engine from dust and crap. To be precise, taking out the filter is not a track only mod. It is a RACING only mod. As for the resonator, I was just curious that's all. I have noticed a few people here being a little too aggressive with 1/4 mile time fabrication accusations. C'mon people this isn't club Si. Let's calm down a little. We're supposed to show a little more class than the ricers.

Well Hell Boyz, sounds as though we have some drivahs here! iLLt2ck, very nice 1st time out on the track! Chip, sounds as though you're a veteran trackie. Can't wait to see what some of the guys who get all the boltons installed can run.

veteren trackie..lol i am only 17, and i apoligize to everyone for being an *** i just hate it when people call me a lier, i know alot about cars and takign out the filer for a 15 second run doesn;t hurt anything, againd i apolize and by thwe way my email address [email protected] is my old screen name, i use to have a 95 civic hatchback with a GSR swap turbocharged, then i added NOS to break into the 11s and blew to motor so i bought the sentra hearing about their strong bottom ends, so i went out and bought one, of corse with a little help from my parents
