Just bought a high output alternator and it whines a little loud for me but there's nothing wrong with it, it stays above 14v with all accessories and stereo on, I was wondering if there is cheap material I can buy to reduce the noise coming from under the hood. Thanks

i mean you could dynomat the engine bay, lol. make sure you have your grounds to match the output of the alternator, something like the big3 wireset. if theres a bad ground you can get a whining sound, not to say its not the alternator itself.

Big 3 already done, I think the whine is the alternators itself cause the other alternator I had didn't whine and it only whines at low rpm or I just don't hear it while driving, dynamat is a lot, I was thinking about using fire proof spray foam??
