My Nissan badge on the rear trunk lid seems to be slightly crooked. My brother has a new Altima and his looked crooked to. Does anyone else have a crooked badge?

Are you referring to the center mounted badge above the licence plate? Mine seems to be straight. Is yours rotated a little or something? That would be a little tough to fix. You may have to live with it. I belive it is glued on like the smaller badges, but it could have pins that go through the trunk.

I don't remember who it was, but I remember someone saying they debadged their b15 totally. If I remember correctly, there weren't any pins on the Nissan emblem. It's just that sticky stuff on the back.

I was thinking about taking off the "Sentra SE" logo and what not. I hadn't thought about removing the Nissan Logo though. It might almost look too plain. hehehe. I'd need to see a picture of it first.

I took off the "SENTRA" badge. All that's left is the "SE 2.0" and Nissan badges. Looks cleaner IMO. I'll have pics up whenever I get my damn Stillen spoilerette back from the shop...

BTW Maxx... I noticed how fast you responded to the last post. You really DO watch the boards 8 hours a day don't you?? Did you notice how long it took me to reply again? :D

Someone needs to give a positive answer to wether or not the badges use pins. There is way too many "I think so" answers on this board.

ps I just say that because I want you guys to do the experimenting because I would hate to mess up my car.

I've done a total debadge. Unfortunately I don't have pics to show as of yet. The Nissan symbol on the back is held on by a gum-like glue substance; there are no pins. I suspect you could heat gun the symbol for a bit and then adjust it so that it isn't crooked anymore. I doubt it would affect the sticky stuff holding the piece on.

o.k. Thankyou Nitelife for the positive answer. Now here comse another question. I've heard of instances where people have taken off badges and stickers and have noticed "tan lines". They usually only happened on cars more than a year old. I would guess that they wouldn't leave "tan lines" if your paint was in perfect condition. They would defenitely show up if your paint was faded. Answers please!!!

I removed the "SENTRA" badge from my car maybe like... 7 months after I bought it. Once I alcoholed all of the glue off the body, it left NO tan lines. Good answer, rschauby? :D

Rschauby,

I was actually going to include this in the previous post, but oh well.
Removing the Sentra and 2.0 SE lettering went off without any major "tanning" or swirls being left behind. The nissan symbol didn't go as well, mainly due to the gum-like stuff they use as adhesive. I suspect if I had been more careful I wouldn't have left as many swirls behind. As it is now, if you examine the paint up close (12" or less) you can see light scratches in the shape of a nissan symbol. <sigh> I haven't gotten to polish and wax the car extensively though, so this may disappear. By the way, I removed everything with a credit card (others have used floss). Any residue i removed by wiping it away with a wd40 soaked paper towel, and this is probably where I messed up with the paint behind the nissan symbol.
Hope that answers your question.

An easy solution you could easily use a heat gun or a hair dryer to heat up the glue and twist the badge into postition that your happy with or do the same to take the badges off it makes it really easy just don't hold the heat gun on for too long or you'll burn the paint,,,but it makes it really easy....I'm gonna be de-badging mine soon...

and have some de-natured alcohol to take of any remaining glue.....
