What is the difference between a sprung hub and a solid hub clutch? I was looking at the clutches at http://unorthodoxracing.com/nissan_sentra.html for my 01 SR20... Thanks
An unsprung hub has no springs in the hub of the actual clutch disc, while a sprung one, does.

It helps to absorb driveline lash/shock from normal driving. Most people recommend against unsprung hubs for the street, as they tend to chatter and cause a good bit of gear whine.

I had on my old 240sx. I liked the engagement, but given the power I was making, it really was overkill.

There are plenty of good clutches with sprung hubs. You may want to look into those. The unsprung models can get a little annoying after a while.
