This is just a rant, so please feel free to vent about anything else concerning your ride if you wish. So here's mine: I don't even have 9K miles (8,714 to be exact) on my '04 SE-R and that stupid Check Engine Light is on. WTF?!!!!!!! I am so pissed. Have to take it to the Stealer (dealer) now. Hopefully it's just a bad sensor and not some damage done.

Any symptoms? Did you change any habits that you have been practicing on the car lately?

I haven't done any mechanical mods, so I don't see what the problem could be. Also I always drive the same and am not a racer either.

What's the error code? Did you try the pedal method to verify the code? It's posted as a sticky in the technical forum.

The error I get is 1148 which is Closed Loop-B1 according to the sticky. What exactly does that mean? And also after that it gave me another code 1031 but it doesn't match up to anything on the list.

1031= a/f sensor malfunction(shorted or high/low signal)

1448= closed loop control( primary 02 sensor not working mt/at cars,or a/f sensor shorted at models only)

sounds to me like the SE-R is having constant issues with the MAFS..... Has their been a recall yet?.... Let's just hope that in your case Soxser, that this is sumin that can easily be fixed and not another MAF problem....
