when i replaced my engine the second time, my mechanic told me my mounts were broken but he couldnt find aftermarket parts and when he sourced a place finally, he said it would take 2 weeks, i didnt have time so we installed engine anyways.... now i started hearing a clunking noise when ever hitting a pot hole or a dip in the road, we raised the car and noticed the tranny mount insert is torn apart. should i just get mmi's for the tranny mount, or should i also get the mount its self. and where can i get it, i have an 02 spec and i tried searching but i only find the engine poly inserts not the tranny mount inserts... where could someone get solid poly mounts?
any help would be apprectiated,

Check rock auto for the actual mounts, and while you are at it you could go ahead and put the poly inserts in them.

if the oem rubber mount is torn, you shouldnt just put the poly insert, the entire mount may fail. to use the inserts you need to have a good rubber mount inside there. i remember seeing some solid poly mounts, like prothane. however, dont forget, some tranny mounts are hydraulic, and maybe a dealer only item.
