Is the bass cube from phoenix worth the money? Right now I have an alpine 9813 with type X components and infinity kappa coax and a 12" type R sub. I have 2 US acoustic amps a 4085 and a 2100. The sound is not what I like right now. I am planning on adding an digital equalizer as well. Is the bass cube worth about $70.00 used? I have already spent over a $1200 and need help.

If you feel that you are lacking in low bass response yes. It is esentially the same as an epicenter which was designed to reproduce low frequencies lost in recordings, mainly live onto tape. It works well with other sources like CD as well and you have a level control up front. Mind you I would buy an eq first and reassess.

bass cubes and epicenters are toys. you will end up frying the sub with distortion. I used to own a epicenter and it was a p.o.s you would be better off getting a good eq(1/3 octave) or getting a box designed to play lower frequencies. Also keep in mind the limitations of your speaker.
