i thought it was because i had cheap brakes. but it happened again. for the record it's an '06 with rear drums which were also replaced along with new shoes and new fluid. i flushed the whole system. are you supposed to adjust the rears, or do they adjust on their own? i figure i'm probably burning out the fronts because there might not be enough braking from the rear. this is driving me nuts! thanks.

do you have abs?

one common problem with sentra brakes, if they are not installed properly and the pads begin dragging, the rotors heat up very fast. this along with people driving thru cold puddles is normally the cause of warped rotors, or washing their car while rotors are hot. hope you re-installed the pad springs for the front, and re-lubed the sliders. was the piston difficult to press in?

no, they don't. that's from another car. i'm now using ebc rotors and green pads. imma check the drums tomorrow. i figured that might be it cuz since i did the brakes, the e brake doesn't do a damned thing when it's pulled. thanks, i'll let y'all know what happens.

they are on the fronts only, they are similar on most cars, but im not listing any of them and i know theyre on my car, wth? but if you have aftermarket pads, there might not be holes in the pads for the springs. those springs will press the pads outward when the brakes arent being used.

i would def check out the rears.

EDIT: i do see them for my car, but you are right, theres none listed for the 1.8s. its actually called a 'brake pad drag reduction clip'

Adjust the drums with the white round thing can't remember the name and make sure the wheel doesn't move to freely. The both sides. Don't make it to tight. The wheel should move with a little drag.
