Looking to buy a SE-R Spec V from second owner and went to meet up at my work place. Found an exhaust leak before the muffler where the resonator pipe meets. It's leaking at where it connects but from where i was putting my hand the leak appears to be coming from above the joint. The leak comes and goes and is not constant. Is it the seal or the joint itself? Diagram for visual reference.

Do I need a new resonator pipe? Is this fixable? anyone else had this problem?

I went to Walker Exhaust's website and it looks like part number 56108 is this correct? WIll there be any sound difference if i go with walker?

should i keep into consideration for an aftermarket resonator/do they even make one?

you have spring bolts near the rear wheel? i never did. the only spring bolts i have are at the bottom of the header. either way, youd need to weld the flange back on. you could bring this to a mechanic who welds or exhaust shop, you may not need a new catback.
